The consensus at the time was that it was easy to diagnose and even easier to treat. The mere mention of chronic Lyme disease was scoffed at and would have you labeled as an attention seeker, weak, and by some, as crazy.

Lyme disease derailed the promising future of an up-and-coming teenager.
