Norway is a country with one of the highest standards of living in the world, and is a highly favored destination for tourists and business people alike.
It also has a very rich history: the ancient Norsemen, with their myths of the World Tree and of the Aesir, the Vanir, and the Jotunn, and the Vikings, who have taken root in popular culture, continue to color our perceptions of this country even till today.
This book is dedicated to Norse vocabulary and language learning. I have created many exercises that start off by introducing you to words that you might use or hear in a casual conversation on your first trip to the country, but the level quickly goes up, to a point where you will encounter some Old Norse words, and phrases that you might only expect to see in a literary work.
Through it all, don't forget to have a lot of fun: Norway is a beautiful country, and the Norwegian language and the Norse people have a unique view on life, and a commitment to efficiency and excellence that we would all do well to learn from and emulate.
