This Book was updated on September 28,2018 . The Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) is the military justice system of the armed forces of the United States and lists criminal offenses under military law. It unifies, consolidates and codifies the Articles of War, the Articles for the Government of the Navy, and the disciplinary laws of the Coast Guard. The rules and regulations are issued by the President in an executive order by the Manual for Courts-Martial (MCM). The MCM presents the rules and regulations for military court-martials with punishments for each offense listed in the UCMJ.
