Description

Transformed from mortal to mermaid, Marvela leaves the Amazon waters for the depths of the sea to guard tribal relics from shipwrecks on the Caribbean floor. With a fellow mermaid from Africa, however, Marvela also beholds the trauma of colonial brutality in the cold Atlantic waters.
