New Poetry from Lucia Cherciu, Anne Gorrick, Susan Lewis, and Lori Anderson Moseman

Lucia Cherciu is a Professor of English at SUNY / Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY, and writes both in English and in Romanian. Her books include Train Ride to Bucharest (Sheep Meadow Press, 2017), Lalele din Paradis / Tulips in Paradise (Eikon, 2017), Edible Flowers (Main Street Rag, 2015), Altoiul Râsului / Grafted Laughter (Brumar 2010), and Lepădarea de Limbă / The Abandonment of Language (Vinea, 2009). Anne Gorrick is a poet and visual artist.  She is the author of six books of poetry including the forthcoming An Absence So Great and Spontaneous it is Evidence of Light (The Operating System, 2018) and The Olfactions: Poems on Perfume (BlazeVOX Books, 2017.  She co-edited (with poet Sam Truitt) In|Filtration: An Anthology of Innovative Writing from the Hudson River Valley (Station Hill Press, 2016).  She collaborated with artist Cynthia Winika to produce a limited edition artists’ book, “Swans, the ice,” she said, funded by the Women’s Studio Workshop in Rosendale, NY and the New York Foundation for the Arts. 

Susan Lewis is the editor of Posit (www.positjournal.com) and the author of nine books and chapbooks, including This Visit, How to be Another, and State of the Union. Her new book, Heisenberg’s Salon, is available now from Blazevox Books. Her tenth book, Zoom, is the 2017 winner of the Washington Prize, and will be published by The Word Works Press in 2018. Her poetry has been published widely in anthologies and journals such as The Awl, Berkeley Poetry Review, Boston Review, The Brooklyn Rail, Cimarron, The Journal, The New Orleans Review, Raritan, Seneca Review, Verse, Verse Daily, and VOLT. www.susanlewis.net.

Lori Anderson Moseman’s latest poetry collections are Flash Mob (Spuyten Duyvil) and All Steel (Flim Forum Press). Her collaboration with book artist Karen Pava Randall, Full Quiver, is available from Propolis Press. Double | Vigil, a poetic collaboration with Belle Gironda, is excerpted online in the journal Barzakh. Her VisPo recently appeared in Gramma.org, Opon, Posit, Really System and The Volta. She founded and ran the press Stockport Flats from 2006 to 2016. Anderson Moseman has an M.F.A in poetry from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, an M.F.A. in integrated arts from iEAR Studios at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Her Doctor of Arts in Writing, Teaching and Criticism is from the University at Albany. She's been a forester tech, a farm reporter and an educator.
