Nathan Monk SIGNING

Nathan Monk is a social justice advocate, dyslexic author, and former Orthodox priest. He lives in Tennessee with his partner and three children. He is the bestselling author of The Miracle and All Saints Hotel and Cocktail Lounge.

Having experienced homelessness with his family during his teenage years, Nathan has gone on to help establish programs providing food, clothing, emergency resources, and shelter. When he’s not writing, he works with nonprofits and local governments to battle issues associated with homelessness and poverty.

Nathan is also the founder of the Charity Institute, a consulting firm assisting nonprofits, and has served as a board member of the Homelessness and Housing Alliance, the Task Force for Human Services, and the Planning Board of the City of Pensacola. Over his career, he has received notable awards, appointments, and national media for his accomplishments in social justice, neurodivergence awareness, and writing.

Through writing and public speaking, he seeks to educate the public by breaking down stereotypes in our culture about people experiencing poverty and homelessness. His expanded educational programs and consulting work help create nonprofit cultures that are truly client-oriented. With a focus on outcomes over outreach, Nathan believes we can end homelessness and create a more equitable world for all.
