In partnership with the Golden Notebook Bookstore, Mount Tremper Arts is pleased to present a staged reading of a work-in-progress script, FED, by Anna Young.

In the fall of 2016, M.F., Eddie, Fanny, Loretta and J.K. navigate politics and personhood through food. With knives, boards and ballast these womxn plot big moves, business ventures and relationships. Sustenance and satisfaction are questioned, love is always on the table.

Anna Young is an actor and cook from NYC. She is the creator and solo performer of 1942, a cooking show about MFK Fisher and the transformative power of food: designed to be performed in private homes and professional kitchen space, 1942  will publicly premiere at at Archestratus in Brooklyn, Spring 2019; L.A. in Summer 2019, and London, Fall 2019. You may have previously seen Anna performing at University Settlement, on Governors Island or at The Pearl in New Orleans. When not perfecting performing, Anna can be found teaching baking classes & nannying.  BA (HONS) American/African American Studies, Smith College 2009, MA Acting the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London.
